Founded in 1919 by congress following WWI, it is one of the largest veterans’ organizations in the United States. This important non-profit organization has a mission to advocate for veterans’ rights, deliver the necessary community support, and promote patriotism, which has been the foundation of our country since its founding.

- Service Dogs Assisting Veterans (SAVES) Act—This legislation ensures injured service personnel and veterans with mental health conditions are paired with a service dog that can help them with daily living and alert them to medical emergencies.
- Love Lives On Act—This Act addresses the current predicament of Gold Star spouses who must choose between finding love and remarriage before they reach age of 55, which would cause them to lose critical benefits, or remaining single to retain the much-needed benefits they are entitled to.
Providing Veteran Services
